The fireball will leave a small fire that remains at the point where it bounced. Shoots fireballs that hurtle across the ground. Lights its clubs on fire, then breathes fire downwards while shaking its head from side to side. Lights its body on fire and begins spinning around, causing damage on contact. If the target is above the floor, the Crimson Prankster will instead finish by leaping up and slamming the ground at the target's position. Walks around while slamming the ground in front of itself with its left club, then its right, then finishing with both at once. To avoid the copies reviving each other, reduce both copies to low health, then destroy both before the surviving copy copies itself. Use the table in the middle of the room as a platform to Glide and attack. The Crimson Prankster's hitbox is its head. ![]() The hole under the chimney is a safe point, and can be used to dodge attacks or safely use Cure magic. The resulting copy has remaining health equal to the surviving copy's.ĭodge the Pranksters' attacks using Air Glide and Air Slide. If one copy dies before the other, the surviving copy copies itself again. Both copies start with equal health, and must be destroyed simultaneously. The Crimson Prankster begins the battle by copying itself in two. The former part of the Heartless's name could be derived from one possible romanization of its Japanese name, "Bleed Performer", crimson being the color of blood.Įquip Blizzard magic and a Keyblade with high strength or longer combos, such as Valor Gear+ or Rage Gear+. This shows the similar nature and appearance between the Trickmaster and the Crimson Prankster. In reference to the Trickmaster, the word "prankster" is a synonym of trickster. ![]() The latter part of the Crimson Prankster's name shows its mischievous and carefree nature. Despite appearing to be one of the largest Heartless Roxas fights, in reality it is roughly the size of Donald Duck, due to the shrinking potion. Its design is slightly similar to the Kingdom Hearts Final Mix version of the Trickmaster. Its feet are black, flat, and curl at the tips. ![]() The upper halves of its legs are indigo, while their lower halves are pink. It wears pink armor with large, indigo shoulder pads, a black codpiece, and has a very thin and small indigo body. Its arms are black and it often juggles clubs with zig-zagging, black and yellow stripes on them. Each of these segments sports its own face-though all of the faces have the same glowing yellow eyes and jagged mouths-and they alternate in color from pink to indigo. Luxord picks the Heartless up with ease and brings it to Roxas, who delivers the final blow.Ī Crimson Prankster is a bizarre Heartless with spindly legs resembling scissor jacks, arms that appear and sound like they're made of paper, and a head that is made of several segments balanced of top of each other. Roxas is saved by a now giant Luxord, a result of eating a mushroom. Shortly into their fight, a second Crimson Prankster appears, cornering Roxas. In the manga adaptation, just as the Card Soldiers prepare to execute Roxas with a guillotine, a Crimson Prankster appears and attacks the castle, allowing Roxas to untie himself. This information is based on alternate scenes or materials and is not considered canon within the overall plot of the series. The Crimson Prankster then appears out of the shadows, prompting Roxas to defeat it. Upon arrival, he drinks the medicine on the table of the Bizarre Room and shrinks as a result. Roxas is assigned a mission to Wonderland in order to exterminate a mysterious Heartless.

Zielenziger ( 2006) has suggested that this is a cultural syndrome specific to the Japanese context, since the number of Hikikomori (about 1.2% of the population Koyama et al., 2010) in Japanese society is not insignificant. Consequently, it is not unusual to find a Hikikomori who has been withdrawn for over a decade (Sakai et al., 2011). In fact, both the numbers of Hikikomori and school refusers have been increasing (Jones, 2006) for the obvious reason that it becomes increasingly difficult to reintegrate into society the longer one remains socially withdrawn. Possible triggers of Hikikomori might include school absenteeism ( futoukou) or job insecurity. Also, a recent epidemiological study confirmed a life-time prevalence rate of about 1.2%, or a little over 1.5 million individuals in the Japanese population, who are or have been Hikikomori, with half of them not having a comorbid DSM-IV diagnosis (Koyama et al., 2010). The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare defined NEET as “people who are not employed, not in school, not a homemaker, and not seeking a job” and Hikikomori as “those who are neither in work nor school, do not have social interactions and are socially withdrawn for more than 6 months.”īased on these classification criteria, the Cabinet Office of the Japanese Government ( 2010) estimated that there were about 700,000 Hikikomori. Specifically, many of them are emerging as “NEETs (Not in Employment Education or Training Genda, 2005)” or “Hikikomori” (socially withdrawn/isolated). Since entering the twenty-first century, an increasing proportion of young Japanese have become socially/culturally marginalized. ![]() NEET and Hikikomori and psychological spectra The relationship between these psychological tendencies and actually becoming marginalized across cultures is discussed. The results suggested that NHR is related to psychological tendencies common in the marginalized segments of society. Study 2 investigated and confirmed the validity of the scale by examining NHR differences between occupational groups. Based on this idea, we identified three related risk factors in our NHR spectrum scale: (1) Freeter lifestyle preference, which in Japan refers to the tendency to consciously choose to not work despite job availabilities, (2) a lack of self-competence, and (3) having unclear ambitions for the future (Study 1). In this study, we developed a NEET-Hikikomori Risk Factors (NHR) scale that treats NEET/Hikikomori not as a set of distinct diagnoses, but as a spectrum of psychological tendencies associated with the risk of being marginalized in society. Specifically, we believe that both NEET and Hikikomori show psychological tendencies that deviate from those governed by mainstream cultural attitudes, values, and behaviors, with the difference between NEET and Hikikomori being largely a matter of degree. Though the behavioral symptoms of NEET and Hikikomori can be differentiated, some commonalities in psychological features can be found. ![]() The phenomena of NEET/Hikikomori (occupational/social withdrawal) have attracted global attention in recent years. An increasing number of young people are becoming socially and economically marginalized in Japan under economic stagnation and pressures to be more globally competitive in a post-industrial economy. That would be the better measure of how much processing time was spent on the parent and child processes. I think once you get the waitpid call in there, you want to call times twice in the parent, once right before you fork, and once after wait returns successfully. times() only returns how much time has been used from startup to when it's called. The parent process needs to call wait or waitpid to wait for the child to finish.Īs for why the times are zero, you call times() early on in the program.
